Enclose your pool area with a sturdy and secure fence, complete with a self-latching gate. This fundamental measure prevents unauthorized access, especially for young children who may be drawn to the water. Ensure the fence is at an appropriate height and free from climbable objects.
By incorporating these comprehensive safety measures, your pool becomes a haven for enjoyment while minimizing potential risks. Prioritizing pool safety not only safeguards the well-being of those using the pool but also ensures that everyone can savor the pleasures of water recreation responsibly and with confidence.
Back in summer of 2005 while Dave was constructing a pool when he witnessed a tragic drowning of a young boy whose family had just arrived on holiday that morning.
Dave was distraught to realize this tragic accident could have easily been avoided had the pool been secured. Dave, who is from South Africa the home of the safety net, decided to start importing safety nets from his home country. From then on our range of products has developed so we are confident we can offer our customers a selection of safety device to suit all situations.
We will help you to make an informed decision as to which type of safety barrier will provide you with the most peace of mind and allow you to maintain the enjoyment and aesthetics of your pool.
Being a family business and having small children ourselves we are dedicated to helping families protect their loved ones. In 2010 we were very excited about our chance to sponsor APSI and Edite in their campaign to raise awareness of the ever present dangers of drowning.

Final Thoughts and Recommendations
1. Fencing and Barriers:
Enclose your pool area with a sturdy and secure fence, complete with a self-latching gate. This fundamental measure prevents unauthorized access, especially for young children who may be drawn to the water. Ensure the fence is at an appropriate height and free from climbable objects.
2. Pool Covers:
Invest in a durable pool cover designed to support the weight of an adult. A cover serves a dual purpose—acting as a barrier to prevent accidental falls into the water and also helping to maintain water quality by keeping out debris.
3. Adequate Supervision:
Designate a responsible adult as a designated water watcher whenever the pool is in use. Supervision is key to preventing accidents and responding quickly in case of an emergency. Avoid distractions and stay alert to the activities in and around the pool.
4. Learn-to-Swim Programs:
Enroll family members in learn-to-swim programs, including young children. Knowing how to swim is a crucial life skill that enhances confidence in and around the water. Additionally, adults should refresh their swimming skills periodically.
5. Safety Equipment:
Keep essential safety equipment, such as lifebuoys, life jackets, and a reaching pole, easily accessible near the pool area. This ensures that, in the event of an emergency, necessary tools are readily available for a swift and effective response.
6. Pool Rules and Signage:
Clearly post pool rules and safety guidelines in visible locations. These may include reminders about diving safety, restricted areas, and rules for responsible behavior in and around the pool.
7. Emergency Preparedness:
Equip your pool area with a well-maintained first aid kit and ensure that those who use the pool are familiar with its location. Establish clear emergency procedures, including contact information for local emergency services.
8. Alarms and Technology:
Consider installing pool alarms that can detect unauthorized entry or disturbances in the water. Additionally, technological advancements offer pool safety systems, such as underwater motion sensors and smart pool covers, providing an added layer of security.
